Semarang, (11/28/2018) – Prof. Fatchiyah, M.Kes, Ph.D attended the invitation of the 1st International Conference on Health, Science and Technology (ICHesTech) with the theme “Curent Trends and Future Perspective in The Food Sector: From Novel Concept to Application” as the keynote speaker with the topic Study of Nutrigenomics: Healthy and Halal Nutrition as a Positive Regulatory of Metabolic Disease at the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus).

The international seminar program was opened by Unimus Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd. Besides Prof. Fatchiyah, M.Kes, Ph.D as Keynote Speaker, while also invited were Prof. Eddy Yusuf, PhD (MSU Malaysia), Riztyan, PhD (FASMAC Co. Ltd. Japan) and Najwa Santiworakun from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. In the ICHesTech event, it was held at the Unimus Medical Faculty (FK) building, attended by 130 participants from 6 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines and Ecuador).

In his presentation, Prof. Fatchiyah, M.Kes, Ph.D explained about Nutrigenomic Studies of gene responses to food eaten daily. Nutrition, interaction, lifestyle and genetic factors modulate the molecular pathways in humans associated with the development of chronic diseases. The composition of healthy nutrition can reduce cardiovascular disease, obesity and cancer, because it improves the abnormalities of molecular mechanism signals, and optimizes human health.
