At the moment, community service dissemination is important for lecturers and researchers to deliver results of community service activities. Dissemination can be conducted through seminar in the form of presentation of activities and or product exhibitions or prototypes. This is because often the community service activities are not only in the form of counseling or training, but are also producing products or prototypes, from the utilization of the local potential of the region then followed by community empowerment activities. This aspect of empowerment is now an important value because the community acts as a strategic partner in an effort to create ABGC relations (Academic, Business, Government, Community).

In order to provide forum for lecturers and researchers to disseminate results from their community service as well as to sharing information and knowledge, SMONAGENES Study Center held a national seminar for community service dissemination. The seminar was held in the MC Building, Faculty of MIPA Universitas Brawijaya.

According to Eko Suyanto as the chairman of the seminar, this national seminar took the theme “Working to serve the community” which presented 3 keynote speakers to share knowledge about the work of community empowerment in order to optimize the potential of the region and strategies to penetrate the funding of community service activities. The event was attended by 57 participants from various institutions in several regions including Padang, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Malang, Jember, Kediri, Kendari and Makassar who presented materials from their community service activities through oral and poster presentations. Next year, similar activities will be planned to be held accompanied by product exhibition or prototypes of community service results.
