Prof. Fatchiyah, M.Kes., Ph.D

Mrs. Fatchiyah – dignified figure – was born in Pekalongan, November 27, 1963 ago and she has taken a bachelor degree in the Faculty of Biology, Gadjah Mada University. After completing the program, she continued her studies at the Strata 2 level at Airlangga University. Then she took a Doctoral (Ph.D) program at NIBB, School of Life Sciences, The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Japan.

Through the support of research background and high personal abilities, she is currently serving as director of the University of Brawijaya (UB) Bioscience Institute as well as the chairman of the study center of UB’s SMONAGENES and as an educating staff in the Biology Department of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UB. Besides that, she is also active in various research, education and community service activities. Various research grants and community services were successfully obtained and have produced many research product patents, indexed international scientific publications and several books. She is also active in forums of professional organizations and international forums and is often invited as an honorable speaker / Invited speaker at various international seminars. Awards that have been obtained include Satya Lencana Karya Satya, Lecturers with outstanding achievements at UB’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and UB’s outstanding lecturers.
